Carrying a Name

Kristi Yamaguchi's brick in Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park (Passion Day 4)

Remember her? I actually don't. But her name precedes my memory of her - Kristi Yamaguchi, one of America's top female figure skaters.

What Louie Giglio was saying for the last main session at Passion was the way we carry a name. In the world that we live in, when we get excited about a product or person, we talk about it and carry the name. In turn, that product or person becomes famous. Facebook, Coach, Nike, Abercrombie and Fitch, Sephora, Macy's, Target, Madonna, Glee, Brad Pitt, Kristi Yamaguchi, etc are all big names.

Louie's invitation for us is to be even more excited about God and carrying Jesus' name to campus than we are about other names. There are enough people talking about the hottest things right now. The campus doesn't need more of that, it needs more of Jesus!
